Treatment Services

SafeSpace offers support to youth ages 12-26 so they can walk in or make an appointment when they aren’t feeling like themselves. You will be greeted by someone who cares and will listen, in order to get you on a path to feeling well again. SafeSpace will provide early stage mental health care through licensed therapists. A plan will be designed specifically for the client, with his/her involvement, and could involve group or family therapy.

Outpatient

SafeSpace is unique in that we are committed to providing evidence-based treatments for youth with mental illness. We are comprised of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, including well-trained psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers (LCSW) and licensed marriage & family therapists (LMFT) who bring their specialized training into an integrated system of care. Together, we provide all of the necessary outpatient mental health services, including psychotherapy (individual, family and group therapies for youth and parents), parenting support, academic/work support, and evaluation and management of medication. We empower our clinicians to utilize their full repertoire of knowledge to implement best-practices.

InteNsive Outpatient Program

An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers a higher level of care then outpatient services alone. IOP is often recommended for children/teens refusing to go to school, following hospitalization discharge, or if your child/teen is severely depressed, anxious or has behavioral issues that cannot be treated with just outpatient services. The IOP is an open program and operates weekly for 3 hours per day, 4-5 days per week.
